Auto Repair Shop & Roadside Service | $11 CPL
Overview
I ran Google Ads for an auto repair shop in Montreal, primarily focused on roadside service and assistance. They also had a body shop that could do all services, but the main focus was on roadside assistance.
This means we weren’t able to get quick wins for small ticket items like tire rotations and oil changes.
Because we were only optimizing for roadside service, we designed landing pages that only pushed phone calls as conversion actions. I did a few things in the Google Ad account to make it as likely as possible for us to get phone calls, and I created a thorough keyword strategy to get us high quality clicks and avoid paying for things like AAA service or towing companies.
Results
At the time of writing this, here is the last month in the account:
$1477.86 in ad spend
138 phone calls
$10.70 CPL
137 direction clicks (not a conversion but cool to see)
We are also using a call tracking software so we’re able to listen into the phone calls and determine if they are high quality. They are closing most of these phone calls and the owner of the shop is very pleased with the return.
With more time and a little more sophistication we might be able to trace a true ROI on this ad spend but at the moment we’re not there yet!
